and FIND YOUR DREAM

COLORADO HOMESCHOOL STATE LAWS

Colorado has flexible state laws when it comes to

homeschooling and private schools.

OPTION ONE: self homeschool

You're the primary educator. File a Notice of Intent (NOI) to homeschool under Colorado's home-based education law (C.R.S. 22-33-104.5), ave of 2 weeks before you withdraw. This requires 172 average days of instruction (4 hours/day) in core subjects, evaluations every other year starting at grade 3, and record-keeping. You must do research and select all curriculum for each subject, and keep track of what was done each week.

OPTION TWO: private / umbrella school

Enroll in an Independent Private School, like Apgoee NOCO – Transfer to a private program like our conservative Christian hybrid academy. This counts as private schooling, not homeschooling, so no NOI needed—we handle compliance while you get homeschool flexibility, curriculum, and support. Plus all the additional benefits that you will not get at public school, self-homeschooling, or another private school. *CONTACT US TODAY! WE'D LOVE TO HELP YOU OUT!

OPTION THREE: you're a licensed teacher

Use your Colorado teacher's license for qualification (rare for most parents).
