What Colorado Requires.
Colorado gives families significant freedom in homeschooling. There is no mandated curriculum — parents choose what works best for their child. Here are the basics you need to know:
172 Days of Instruction
Minimum 4 hours per day average — split between campus and home days at Apogee NOCO
Core Subjects Required
Reading, writing, speaking, math, history, civics, literature, science, and U.S. Constitution
Notice of Intent Required
Submit a Notice of Intent to your local school district 14 days before beginning homeschool
Parent Chooses the Curriculum
Colorado does not mandate a specific curriculum. You have full freedom to choose what works for your child.

Beyond core academics, our Life Enrichments curriculum covers music and arts, STEM, family sciences (cooking, sewing, personal finance), and nature skills — giving students a truly whole-life education.
We work with trusted curriculum partners that align with our values and educational philosophy. These programs complement what we do on campus and give families strong options for home learning days.
For your 2 days at home each week, we provide structured lesson plans and project guides so families are never left wondering what to do. You stay in control — we give you the roadmap.
We teach families exactly how to track attendance, document subjects covered, and maintain the records Colorado requires — so you are always organized and compliant.
